There are two reasons why I highly recommend giving somebody managerial access to your YouTube channel. One is that you don’t want to share your personal e-mail and password to your YouTube channel, especially if it’s connected to your Gmail account. Then that person will have access to a lot of critical information. Number two, if you need to let that person go, it’s really easy. All you have to do is go into manager settings and delete that person or remove them from your YouTube channel.

To add a new user, all you need to do is click on your user profile, click on the little gear setting here, and then you’ll see “Add or remove manager.” You’ll have two options once you click the “Add manager” button. You’ll want to add their e-mail address and then you can make them a manager or a communications manager. Manager is going to have full control, and a communications manager will have limited control. Once you’re done, go ahead and click “Invite.” And that’s how you set up a manager for your YouTube channel.
